GlassProtect Fibra is a small wired detector that notifies of glass being broken by intruders. It is installed at a distance of 9 m from the window and filters events that cause false alarms. The device detects broken glass using an electret microphone, this registers the sound of impact against the glass and glass falling. The two-factor detection of broken glass prevents false alarms caused by thunder, dogs barking and noise from passing trucks.
The GlassProtect Fibra works only as part of the Ajax security system. Data exchange with the control panel takes place via the secure Fibra protocol. The wired communication range is up to 2 km when connected via a U/UTP cat — five twisted-pair cables.
DoorProtect Fibra is a door sensor for the Fibra line of wired devices. This sensor may only be installed by an installer who has been trained and certified for this.
