The C-TEC ActiV Wall Sounder VAD IP55/65 Deep Base – Red (CTEC-BF433C/CC/DR/65) is a high-output conventional fire alarm sounder and visual alarm device (VAD), designed to provide both audible and visual fire warning. Manufactured by C-TEC, this ActiV Hi-Output VAD delivers an impressive 100dB(A) sound output at 1 metre and provides W-2.75-9 rated light distribution when wall mounted. It is third-party certified to EN54-3 for sounders and EN54-23 for visual alarm devices, making it a dependable choice for compatible conventional fire alarm systems.
Designed for environments where additional weather protection is required, the BF433C/CC/DR/65 features a robust deep-base enclosure with an IP55C weatherproof rating. The unit operates from 18–30V DC and offers low alarm current consumption, with a typical current of 10mA at 30V DC when operating at maximum volume and a 0.5Hz flash rate. The red enclosure provides a highly visible fire alarm device suitable for a wide range of commercial, industrial and other conventional fire alarm applications.
The C-TEC ActiV VAD also provides excellent configuration flexibility, featuring 31 selectable primary tones, two selectable volume levels and three VAD flash settings of 0.5Hz, 1Hz or OFF. Its W-2.75-9 wall-mounted VAD rating provides a minimum 0.4 lux over a 2.75m x 9m cuboid area under the specified conditions, while the unit measures approximately 114mm diameter x 132mm deep and weighs 315g. The BF433C/CC/DR/65 is compatible with C-TEC conventional fire alarm panels and virtually all other makes, although third-party compatibility should be tested before use.
