Ajax FireProtect2 AC Mains Powered Wireless Heat - White (AJA-107289)
The Ajax FireProtect 2 AC Heat Jeweller is a mains powered wireless fire detector designed for rapid detection of heat based fire threats. It uses two class A1R thermistors located outside the enclosure to detect a temperature spike or when ambient air exceeds 64 °C, meeting EN 54 5 A1R heat detection standards.
When one detector triggers an alarm, the system wide alert activates all connected detectors within 20 seconds using the hub’s link, with an added fallback mode that ensures inter device alerts even if the hub is offline. Each unit includes a built in 85 dB siren and LED indicators for power, malfunction, and alarm states to ensure clear and immediate notification.
Powered by mains electricity 110–240 V with a backup non replaceable lithium battery, the device continues to function during power outages and offers up to 10 years of reliable operation. It communicates via Ajax’s secure Jeweller protocol, delivering encrypted two way communication, device authentication, and tampering protection over ranges of up to 1700 metres in open space.
Installation is hassle free using the SmartBracket mounting panel with no need to open the enclosure to adjust position or access wiring. Settings and system testing are managed remotely through the Ajax app. The device is compliant with key safety standards including EN 54 5, BS 5446 2, and meets UK fire detection criteria.
