Ajax FireProtect2 RB Wireless Heat - Black (AJA-63209)
The Ajax FireProtect 2 Heat is a wireless fire detector designed for rapid heat rise detection. It uses two external thermistors to sense sudden temperature increases, instantly alerting if the ambient temperature exceeds 64 °C or rises by 10 °C within one minute. This ensures reliable fire detection even in the absence of visible smoke.
The device includes a powerful built in siren and LED status indicators showing green for power, yellow for malfunction, and red for alarm, ensuring clear and immediate notification. In interconnected mode, when one unit detects a threat, all linked FireProtect 2 devices in the system will activate their alarms within 20 seconds, providing full coverage. It can also operate in standalone mode for local alerts without a hub.
Powered by sealed or replaceable batteries, FireProtect 2 offers long term reliability, lasting up to 10 years on sealed batteries or up to 7 years on replaceable types. It communicates via Ajax’s secure Jeweller radio protocol, offering encrypted two way communication, device authentication, and a wireless range of up to 1700 metres in open space. All device status and alerts can be monitored via the Ajax app when connected to a hub.
Installation is simple using the SmartBracket mounting panel, which enables ceiling or wall placement without opening the device. The detector supports remote configuration and testing via the Ajax app and meets key European fire safety standards including EN 14604, EN 50291 1, and EN 54 5.
