The Ajax DoorProtect U Jeweller is a refined wireless opening detector designed to meet strict UK security standards. Ideal for protecting doors, windows, and valuable enclosures such as safes, it combines dual reed-switch technology with anti-chatter protection for highly accurate intrusion detection while minimising false alarms. With two magnets of different sizes included, the detector allows flexible installation on a variety of door and window types, ensuring an optimal fit for any security setup.
The device offers multiple mounting options thanks to its dual reed-switch design, allowing the magnet to be placed on either side of the detector. It includes a connector for a third-party NC detector, enabling integration with wired opening, motion, or vibration sensors for an expanded security network. Installation is quick and effortless using the SmartBracket mounting panel and QR code pairing, making setup possible without dismantling the enclosure.
Powered by a pre-installed battery that lasts up to seven years, DoorProtect U Jeweller is ready to use straight out of the box. It communicates securely via Ajax’s Jeweller radio protocol, providing up to 1,200 metres of range in open space, with encryption, frequency hopping, and device authentication to safeguard against sabotage. The system continuously monitors device status, sending instant notifications to users and monitoring centres in case of tampering, low battery, or loss of connection.
Beyond intrusion detection, the DoorProtect U Jeweller can function as a door chime when paired with Ajax sirens, offering customisable sound alerts for different entrances. It integrates seamlessly with the full Ajax ecosystem, allowing it to work alongside intrusion protection, video surveillance, fire safety, and automation devices within one intuitive app interface. Built to comply with EN 50131 Grade 2 and PD 6662:2017 standards, it delivers professional-grade security for homes, offices, shops, and commercial premises.
