Advanced SmartDetect and DualTone algorithms reduce false alarms by distinguishing real threats from environmental noise, while temperature compensation ensures consistent detection in varying climates. Sensitivity for both motion and glass break sensors can be easily adjusted through the Ajax app, offering tailored security for any environment.

The motion detection system features a high-quality PIR sensor from Excelitas Technologies paired with a precision Fresnel lens. This lens design differentiates between human IR signatures, pets, and common false alarm sources like sunlight or HVAC systems. The device supports pet immunity for animals up to 20 kg and under 50 cm in height, ensuring protection without unnecessary triggers. For glass break detection, an electret microphone works with a two-stage process, requiring both a low-frequency impact and high-frequency shattering sound within 1.5 seconds to confirm a break, greatly reducing false positives.

Built for reliability, CombiProtect U Jeweller operates for up to five years on pre-installed, factory-tested batteries. It communicates securely with an Ajax hub or range extender via the Jeweller radio protocol, offering up to 1,700 metres of range in open space with encryption, frequency hopping, and device authentication to protect against jamming or spoofing. The device also includes tamper detection, continuous self-diagnosis, and instant notifications to users and monitoring companies in the event of an alarm, connection loss, or fault.

Installation is quick with the SmartBracket mounting panel and QR code pairing, requiring no disassembly. All settings can be configured remotely, eliminating the need for on-site visits.
