C-TEC ACTIV C Class Base Sounder VAD White-(CTEC-BF456C/CC/W)
The C-TEC ActiV C-Class Base Sounder VAD White (BF456C/CC/W) is a high-performance conventional fire alarm sounder and Visual Alarm Device (VAD), designed to provide both audible and visual fire alarm notification. Featuring a powerful 96dB(A) sound output at 1 metre and C-3-8.5 VAD coverage, this ceiling-mounted device is ideal for conventional fire alarm systems where dependable audible and visual warning is required. The unit is third-party certified to EN54-3 for sounders and EN54-23 for VADs, providing a reliable solution for commercial and public fire alarm applications.
The BF456C/CC/W offers excellent flexibility with 31 selectable primary tones, an optional secondary tone, two selectable volume levels and three VAD flash-rate options of 0.5Hz, 1Hz or OFF. Its C-3-8.5 light distribution provides a minimum of 0.4 lux over a 3 x 8.5 metre cylindrical area, while the device operates across an 18–30V DC supply range. Low alarm current consumption makes the ActiV C-Class Base Sounder VAD a practical choice for conventional fire alarm installations where efficient system performance is important.
Designed for ceiling mounting, the C-TEC BF456C/CC/W can be used as a stand-alone base device with an optional locking white or red cap, or incorporated into a stacked sounder/VAD/detector arrangement. It is compatible with C-TEC CFP, FP, MFP and EP203 conventional fire alarm panels as well as many compatible third-party panels, subject to compatibility testing. Supplied with a BF431QCP Quick Connect Plate and detector spur wires, this white ActiV sounder VAD combines compact design, flexible configuration and certified fire alarm notification in one device.
