C-TEC ACTIV C4 En54-5 B Heat Detector-(CTEC-C4403B)
The C-TEC ActiV C4403B High 75°C Fixed Temperature Heat Detector is a high-quality conventional fire detector designed to provide dependable heat detection as part of a compatible fire alarm system. Manufactured in the UK by C-TEC, the C4403B is a Type B fixed-temperature heat detector that activates when temperatures reach the specified alarm threshold, making it well suited to environments where heat detection is preferred over smoke detection. It is third-party certified to EN54-5 by Intertek, providing assurance of its compliance with recognised fire detection standards.
The C4403B offers reliable operation across a wide 9–33V DC operating range and features two ultra-bright red LED indicator strips providing 360° visibility of an alarm condition. Its conventional two-wire, polarity-sensitive design makes it compatible with virtually all known conventional fire alarm panels, including C-TEC's CFP, FP, MFP and EP203 ranges, subject to system requirements. The detector is also compatible with C-TEC ActiV C4408, C4408D and C4408R series bases, providing flexibility when specifying a complete conventional fire alarm system.
Designed with practicality and durability in mind, the C-TEC ActiV C4403B heat detector features a white polycarbonate housing and a compact design measuring approximately 102.2mm in diameter. Its straightforward ActiV design, low quiescent current and highly visible alarm indication make it a practical choice for commercial, industrial and other conventional fire alarm applications where fixed-temperature heat detection is required. Please note that the detector head requires a compatible ActiV base, which is sold separately.
