C-TEC ACTIV Detector Base Sounder - White-(CTEC-BF431C/CC/W)
C-TEC ActiV Detector Base Sounder - White (BF431C/CC/W) is a high-performance conventional fire alarm base sounder designed to provide a powerful audible alarm signal within compatible fire detection and alarm systems. Delivering an impressive 96dB(A) sound output at 1 metre, this white ActiV base sounder offers reliable audible notification while maintaining low alarm current consumption. The unit is third-party certified to EN54-3 and is suitable for use with C-TEC conventional fire alarm panels and compatible third-party systems.
The C-TEC BF431C/CC/W features 31 selectable primary tones, an optional secondary tone and two selectable volume levels, allowing the audible alarm characteristics to be configured for different applications. Operating from 18–30V DC, the base sounder has an alarm current of just 3.8mA at 18V DC and 5.5mA at 30V DC. Its compact 122mm diameter, 46mm depth design makes it well suited to ceiling-mounted applications where a discreet but effective conventional fire alarm sounder is required.
Designed as part of the C-TEC ActiV conventional fire alarm range, the BF431C/CC/W can be used as a base device with compatible ActiV detectors or as a standalone sounder when used with the appropriate optional locking cap. It is supplied with the BF431QCP Quick Connect Plate and detector spur wires, while its IP21C rating and operating temperature range of -10°C to +55°C make it suitable for a range of indoor fire alarm applications. For compliance with EN54-3, C-TEC specifies use of the BF431QCP Quick Connect Plate.
