The C-TEC CAST Base Sounder White (CTEC-CA431A/W) is a high-performance addressable fire alarm sounder designed for use with C-TEC CAST protocol addressable fire alarm systems. Delivering an impressive 92dB(A) sound output at 1 metre, this compact ceiling-mounted sounder provides a clear and powerful audible alarm signal for fire detection and alarm applications. Its white finish offers a clean, discreet appearance suitable for a wide range of commercial and building environments.
The CA431A/W incorporates an onboard short-circuit loop isolator, helping maintain loop integrity in the event of a short circuit. It operates from 24–40V DC, with a typical quiescent current of just 460µA and typical alarm current of 5.5mA at maximum sounder output. The device also features group addressing, allowing multiple sounders to be operated simultaneously, making it a versatile choice for CAST addressable fire alarm systems.
With four selectable volume levels and 31 selectable tones, the C-TEC CAST CA431A/W provides flexible audible alarm configuration through compatible CAST fire alarm panels. The sounder is LPCB certified to EN54-3 and EN54-17, with system certification to EN54-13 from Kiwa Telefication and DBI, and is rated IP21C. The white ceiling fixing plate and detector spur wires are included, while an optional white or red cap can be used for standalone applications.
