The C-TEC CAST Base Voice Sounder C Class VAD White (CTEC-CA457A/W) is an advanced addressable fire alarm voice sounder and visual alarm device designed to provide clear audible and visual fire alarm notification. Featuring C-3-8 VAD coverage, the device combines highly intelligible voice messaging with a visual alarm function, helping to effectively alert occupants during a fire emergency. It is designed for use with C-TEC CAST protocol addressable fire alarm panels, including compatible XFP and ZFP systems.
Designed for ceiling-mounted applications, the CA457A/W provides a practical and discreet solution for modern addressable fire alarm systems. It features an integrated short-circuit loop isolator, four selectable volume levels and six selectable voice messages with tones, including evacuation, alert, all-clear and system test messages. The sounder and VAD can also be configured to operate independently where supported by the connected fire alarm panel.
The C-TEC CA457A/W CAST C-3-8 Base Voice Sounder VAD offers efficient operation with a typical quiescent current of 470µA and a typical alarm current of 26.5mA at maximum volume and brightness. With a 170m³ C-Class coverage volume, white finish and IP21C rating, it is well suited to a wide range of indoor commercial and building fire alarm applications. The base can also be used as a stand-alone device with the appropriate optional locking cap or incorporated into a CAST detector/base arrangement.
