C-TEC CAST Base Voice Sounder White-(CTEC-CA454A/W)

The C-TEC CAST Base Voice Sounder White (CA454A/W) is an advanced addressable, loop-powered voice sounder designed for use with compatible C-TEC CAST fire alarm systems. Designed for ceiling mounting, it combines clear voice messaging with reliable fire alarm notification, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial, industrial and public buildings. The unit is compatible with C-TEC CAST addressable fire alarm panels and provides excellent sound intelligibility for effective emergency communication.

The CA454A/W features four selectable volume levels and six selectable voice messages with tones, including evacuation, alert, all-clear and system-test messages. Its built-in short-circuit loop isolator helps maintain loop integrity, while the group addressing facility allows multiple devices to be operated simultaneously. The sounder operates from 24–40V DC, has a typical quiescent current of approximately 470µA, and provides a nominal sound output of 89dB(A) at 1 metre.

Finished in white and rated IP21C, the C-TEC CAST Base Voice Sounder is designed for indoor ceiling-mounted applications and can also be used as part of a combined CAST detector and sounder arrangement. The CA454A/W is designed to comply with EN 54-3 for sounders and EN 54-17 for short-circuit isolators, providing a dependable solution for addressable fire alarm systems. A white ceiling fixing plate and detector spur wires are included, while optional caps are available for standalone applications.
