C-TEC CAST C Class Base VAD White-(CTEC-CA460A/W)
The C-TEC CAST C Class Base VAD White (CA460A/W) is an EN54-certified addressable visual alarm device designed for use with C-TEC CAST addressable fire alarm systems. Providing C-3-8 rated light distribution, this ceiling-mounted VAD delivers effective visual alarm indication and is suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial fire alarm applications. The unit is compatible with C-TEC CAST protocol addressable fire alarm panels.
Designed with reliability and system protection in mind, the C-TEC CA460A/W incorporates an onboard short-circuit loop isolator and operates from a 27–40V DC loop supply. It has a typical alarm current of just 7mA and a typical quiescent current of 460µA, helping support efficient operation on addressable fire alarm loops. The VAD is LPCB certified to EN54-23 and EN54-17, with EN54-13 certification from Kiwa Telefication and DBI.
The CAST C-3-8 Base VAD is supplied with a white ceiling fixing plate and detector spur wires, making it suitable for use as a standalone VAD or as part of a stacked VAD/detector base combination. With an IP21C rating, compact 122mm diameter design and an operating temperature range of -10°C to +55°C, the CTEC-CA460A/W is a dependable choice for professional addressable fire alarm systems.
