The C-TEC CAST Compact Ceiling VAD White (CTEC-CA458A/SW) is an addressable visual alarm device designed for use with C-TEC CAST-compatible fire alarm systems. This compact ceiling-mounted VAD provides a high-visibility white LED flash to deliver a clear visual fire alarm indication, making it suitable for a wide range of commercial and public buildings. It is designed specifically to provide C-3-8 light distribution when ceiling mounted, helping provide effective visual alarm coverage.
The CA458A/SW features an integrated short-circuit loop isolator and is loop-powered through the C-TEC CAST protocol, helping simplify device integration within compatible addressable fire alarm systems. It operates at 27–40V DC, has a typical quiescent current of 460µA, and a typical alarm current of 7mA. The device also supports group addressing, allowing multiple devices to be operated simultaneously where required.
Certified to EN 54-17 and EN 54-23 and Kiwa Telefication certified to EN 54-13, the C-TEC CAST Compact VAD offers a dependable solution for visual fire alarm notification.
