The C-TEC CAST Detector Base (CA408) is a robust, easy-fit mounting base designed for use with C-TEC’s range of CAST addressable fire detectors. Featuring a simple “click and twist” design, the CA408 provides a practical and secure method of mounting compatible CAST detectors while helping reduce fitting time. The base is manufactured from durable white polycarbonate and incorporates an integrated detector locking mechanism for added security.
Designed for C-TEC CAST addressable fire alarm systems, the CA408 detector base is compatible with the complete range of CAST addressable detectors, including compatible smoke, heat and multi-sensor detectors. It can also be used with many C-TEC CAST protocol sounder VADs, making it a versatile component for addressable fire detection and alarm installations. The base provides remote LED terminals for optional connection to a BF318 Remote Indicator and includes an ID tag for straightforward device identification.
The C-TEC CA408 CAST Detector Base is also third-party LPCB certified to the relevant parts of EN54 when used with compatible CAST detectors. With its 360° detector LED visibility, secure locking facility and straightforward connection arrangement, it is an ideal choice for professional fire alarm system applications requiring dependable C-TEC CAST-compatible detector mounting. The CA408 measures 102.2mm in diameter and 20.5mm deep, with terminals capable of accepting up to 2.5mm fire-rated cable.
