C-TEC CAST Input Output Module-(CTEC-CA730)
The C-TEC CAST Input Output Module (CA730) is a versatile addressable fire alarm interface designed for use with C-TEC CAST fire alarm systems. Combining input monitoring and relay output functionality in a single compact device, the CA730 provides a reliable way of interfacing fire alarm systems with external equipment and third-party devices. It is compatible with C-TEC XFP and ZFP CAST addressable fire panels and uses C-TEC’s CAST communication protocol.
The CA730 CAST I/O Module incorporates the functions of a switch monitor, zone monitor and output unit, making it suitable for a wide range of fire safety applications. Its monitored input can support up to 20 conventional ActiV fire detectors and 10 manual call points, or alternatively monitor a normally open switch using an end-of-line resistor. The volt-free changeover relay can be used to trigger equipment such as roller shutter doors, door locking mechanisms, gas shut-off valves and smoke vents.
For added system resilience, the C-TEC CA730 features an onboard bi-directional short-circuit loop isolator and clear LED indicators for polling, input faults and relay status. The module operates from 22–40V DC loop power and can switch up to 1A at 30V DC or 0.3A at 125V AC. The CA730 is LPCB certified to EN54-17 and EN54-18, with additional EN54-13 and SBSC certifications, making it a dependable choice for compatible addressable fire detection and alarm applications.
