C-TEC CAST Optical Smoke Detector-(CTEC-CA416)
The C-TEC CAST Optical Smoke Detector (CA416) is a high-quality addressable optical smoke detector designed for use with C-TEC XFP and ZFP CAST protocol fire alarm panels. Using optical smoke detection technology, the CA416 provides reliable detection of visible smoke and is particularly suited to applications where early warning of slow-burning or smouldering fires is required.
Designed for dependable fire detection, the C-TEC CA416 incorporates smart algorithms to help reduce unwanted false alarms, together with drift compensation for consistent detector performance. The unit also features an onboard short-circuit loop isolator, helping maintain system integrity, while its two ultra-bright red LED indicator strips provide 360-degree alarm visibility.
The CA416 is LPCB certified to EN54-7 and EN54-17 and is also certified to EN54-13 by Kiwa Telefication. Operating from 22–40V DC, the detector offers a 0.16dB/m sensitivity/obscuration level and is designed for use with the C-TEC CA408 CAST detector base and compatible CAST base-mount devices.
