C-TEC CAST Pro Heat Detector-(CTEC-CP402)
The C-TEC CAST Pro Heat Detector (CTEC-CP402) is a programmable addressable heat detector designed to provide dependable fire detection as part of a C-TEC CAST addressable fire alarm system. It can be configured for Class A1R, A2 or B heat detection, allowing the detector to be selected for different fire detection requirements. The CP402 is supplied in a compact white enclosure and provides a practical solution for applications where heat detection is preferred over smoke detection.
Designed for use with C-TEC XFP and ZFP CAST protocol addressable fire alarm panels, the CAST Pro CP402 combines intelligent detection with low current consumption. The detector operates from a 22–40V DC loop supply, has a typical quiescent current of 570µA at 40V and an alarm current of less than 1mA. An onboard short-circuit loop isolator also helps maintain system integrity in the event of a wiring fault.
The C-TEC CP402 Heat Detector features two ultra-bright red LED indicator strips providing 360° alarm visibility, while its programmable detection modes provide flexibility for different fire alarm system requirements. Certified to EN 54-5, EN 54-13 and EN 54-17, the CP402 is a reliable choice for professional addressable fire alarm systems. The detector requires a C-TEC CA408 CAST base and is suitable for use within a wide range of commercial and life-safety applications.
