The C-TEC CAST Programmable Multisensor Detector (CTEC-CA414) is a high-quality addressable fire detector combining optical smoke and heat detection to provide reliable detection across a wide range of fire conditions. Designed for use with C-TEC’s XFP and ZFP CAST protocol addressable fire alarm panels, the CA414 uses intelligent multisensor technology to analyse smoke and heat signals together, helping provide effective fire detection while reducing the likelihood of unwanted false alarms.
The CA414 programmable multisensor fire detector offers multiple detection modes, allowing its optical sensitivity and heat settings to be configured through compatible XFP/ZFP PC programming tools. Depending on the selected mode, the detector can provide high, standard or low optical sensitivity with heat enhancement, or operate using heat-only detection. It also features drift compensation, smart algorithms for false alarm reduction and an onboard short-circuit loop isolator, making it a versatile choice for modern CAST addressable fire alarm systems.
Built for professional fire detection applications, the C-TEC CA414 operates on 22–40V DC and provides two ultra-bright red LED indicator strips offering 360° alarm visibility. The detector is certified to relevant EN54 standards, including EN54-5, EN54-7 and EN54-17, and is compatible with the CA408 CAST detector base and specified CAST base mount devices. Its programmable functionality makes it suitable for a variety of commercial and residential fire alarm applications where flexible smoke and heat detection is required.
