The C-TEC Hush-Pro BS5839-6 Grade C Fire Alarm Controller (HP508) is a fully monitored fire alarm controller designed to provide enhanced fire detection and alarm protection in residential applications, including flats, apartments and other domestic dwellings. Designed to comply with BS 5839-6 Grade C, the Hush-Pro system provides integrated fire detection, alarm, test and silencing functions, helping raise the level of protection beyond typical Grade D domestic fire alarm systems.
The HP508 gives residents convenient control of their fire alarm system, allowing connected devices to be tested and silenced from floor level. The controller can interface with a range of Hush-Pro devices and external systems, including EN54-certified detectors and alarms, cooker shut-off relays, sprinkler monitoring units, remote overdoor indicators and communal fire alarm systems. Its fully monitored detection and alarm circuits provide continuous monitoring for open and short-circuit faults.
Powered by a separate 24V external power supply, the C-TEC HP508 Hush-Pro controller incorporates a long-life rechargeable Lithium-ion battery providing up to 72 hours of standby operation, with a 30-minute alarm period. The compact double-gang design, floor-level controls and clear status indicators make it a practical choice for BS 5839-6 Grade C fire alarm applications in residential buildings. The HP508 can also form part of a networked Hush-Pro solution when connected to a compatible communal fire alarm system.
