The Vigitron VI2400WP MaxiiCopper Ethernet Extender is a rugged IP67-rated Ethernet and PoE over Coax solution designed to extend network connectivity over existing coaxial cable infrastructure without the need for costly rewiring. Capable of transmitting Ethernet and Power over Ethernet (PoE) up to 1,515 metres (5,000 ft), it provides an efficient upgrade path for legacy analogue CCTV systems to modern IP surveillance.
Engineered for demanding outdoor environments, the VI2400WP features a hardened aluminium housing with IP67 weatherproof protection, making it ideal for installation on buildings, poles, car parks, campuses, industrial sites, and perimeter security applications. It supports IEEE 802.3af/at/bt PoE standards with Pass-Through PoE technology, allowing a single PoE source to power both the extender and connected IP camera while reducing installation costs and simplifying deployment.
The VI2400WP also incorporates Vigitron's proprietary Symmetric Bandwidth (SBW™) and Virtual Zero Packet Loss (VZPL™) technologies, ensuring reliable full-duplex data transmission for high-resolution IP cameras over long distances. With support for Jumbo Frames, 6kV surge protection, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +75°C, it delivers dependable performance in even the harshest environmental conditions.
